AAAC brings Asian American arts programming to the community and schools in the Chicago area.
SPRY Community School on Chicago’s southside integrates bilingual education with Fine and Performing Arts. AAAC teaching artists brought arts programming that was universal for English and non-English speaking students.
Puppeteer and educator Myra Su introduced the art of the crankie, a traditional form of storytelling that uses a scroll of illustrated scenes, hand-cranked inside a box, to bring narratives to life.
